3 Days Mountainous North Yunnan Tour

Day 1: Shangri-La – Deqin

Our tour starts at Shangri-La, from where we take the scenic drive nothr to Deqin (about 180km, 3.5 hours driving time). On the way, we stop over at Bengzilan Town and visit the Moon Bend of Jinsha River. Furthermore, we have a look at the Dongzhulin Monastery and Baimang Snow Mountain further up the road. Upon arrival at the Deqin hotel, we have a have a rest and acclimatize to the high elevation in Yunnan’s far north.

Overnight in Deqin

Day 2: Deqin

Today, we get up early in the morning and drive to Feilai Temple to enjoy the sunrise with the Prince Peak of Meili Snow Mountain, the highest and most beautiful peak of Yunnan with an altitude of 6740 meters. We visit the Meili Snow Mountain Scenic Area with its 13 white pagodas and the neighboring Mingyong Bingchuan Scenic Area with its glaciers. Afterwards we get driven back to your hotel.

Overnight in Deqin

Day 3: Deqin – Shangri-La

Your driver and tour guide bring you back to Shangri-La today. On the way, we visit Nixi Village and pay a visit to a Tibetan family to try their homemade yak cheese and tea. Get driven to your preferred address in Shangri-La where this tour ends. We are looking forward to welcome you next time!
