Meeting people from all over the world is always nice, especially when they have the same interests. Mid-March, we participated the Zhangjiajie International Travel Agents Conference on China Inbound Tourism 2016 and hooked up with likeminded tour operators and travel agencies arranging tours to and in China. 

 

The invitation for this conference came from the Zhangjiajie Tourism Group who we would like to thank sincerely. We've been able to participate a very extensive one-week-tour with sponsored hotels, free sightseeing and super spicy Hunan food. We enjoyed the trip!

 

 

The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is one of China's numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites and is famous for its giant stone pillars, many up to 200 meters high. Due to its amazing scenery with gorges, lakes and streams, the area served as inspiration for the movie Avatar.

 

 

Also the longest chair lift of China (over 7 km / 30 minutes) and the absolutely crazily winding Road of 99 Bends can be found in close Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area.
