One of numerous Chinese holidays that is celebrated according to the Lunar Calendar: the 5th day of the 5th month falls on Tuesday, 30.May this year. The public holiday lasts three days from 28.May to 30.May. As many other businesses, our office stays closed during these three days.
Other than the majority of Chinese public holidays, the International Worker's Day or Labour Day (劳动节 – láo dòng jié) or more colloquially "May Day" (五一节 – wǔ yī jié) is not tied to the lunar calendar but is celebrated on Mai 1st like in many other countries all over the world.

The Tomb-Sweeping Day, or Qingming Jie (清明节) how it is called in Chinese, is a traditional Chinese festival beginning of April, on which ancestors are remembered. Usually families use this holiday visiting the grave yards of their ancestors, sweep the tombs and put down offerings.
According to the Yunnan Transportation Department, it is necessary for passangers traveling overland by bus to personalize the tickets. This regulation is valid from 1. April 2017 and means that for every passenger buying bus tickets, the ORIGINAL passort or ID card is required.
