Hotel Description

The Xiapingzi Cabins consist of about 15 wooden huts, located directly at the lower cable car station on an elevation of over 3500 meters. With its 13 rooms, a restaurant and a kitchen cabin it is the best place for starting exploration of the Jiaozi Mountain range. During winter season (Dec - Jan) it might happen that the water pipelines are frozen and that there is no running water from the tap. Due to the remote area it is recommended to also bring some own food if you don't want to depend on the limited and overpriced offers of the restaurant.

About 160km north of Kunming. Public transportation from Kunming's Northern Bus Terminal to Zhuan Long (转龙, about 3.5 hours, 35 RMB), from there by mini van to the scenic area (about 45 minutes, 30 RMB). A shuttle bus drives from the scenic area's entrance to the cabins (7km). No private transportation allowed within the scenic area.
