Mi’le is located in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The town's name is originating from the future Buddha Maitreya, which gives this small county a special touch. Mi'le is famous for its hot springs and is a popular destiantions for golf and wellness guests from Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province

Mi'le County is about 150 km southeast of Kunming. It is a county of many ethnic groups with long history: over 23 nationalities live here, including Han, Yi, Miao, Hui, Zhuang, just to name a few.
