Ever had insects for lunch or dinner? In Yunnan, it's actually pretty popular to snack them deep fried. We admit, it must sound strange to a lot of people to eat animals which one preferably wants to only get rid of. But give it a crispy try!

Xishuangbanna is a good place to go trekking - when going during the right season of the year. While you won't be able to move at all during the end of the dry season from March to May/June, the cool winter months are best! Grab your hiking boots!

Recently, the Chinese Central Bank is striving towards devaluating the Chinese Yuan. For many people outside of China paying with other currencies this means in turn, that all sorts of services in China are getting cheaper. So better book now!

It's winter in Yunnan and when it's cold, hot things are usually warmly welcomed. The traditional hotpot is a popular and often enjoyed meal in Kunming and beyond to properly warm you while eating. Often spicy, never boring: enjoy!
