Green Lake Park or Cui Hu Park is an urban park in Kunming's city centre. It was established in the 17th century on the west side of the Wuhua Mountain and is described as the Jade in Kunming.

Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture is an autonomous prefecture of Yunnan Province, China. Its name is derived from the Honghe river (Red river) and the two major ethnic minority groups who live there: the Yi and the Hani. Honghe has an area of 32,929 km². The capital of the prefecture is Mengzi.
The Jiaozi Snow Mountain is Kunming Prefecture's highest peak (4223m) and is situated in a protected scenic area of Luquan Yi and Miao Autonomous County. Since the road connecting Kunming City with this scenic area has been reconstructed, Jiaozi Mountain can be reached conveniently within about 3 hours.
Jiuxiang Scenic Area is located in Jiuxiang Yi and Hui Autonomous Township of Yiliang County, about 90 km from central Kunming. It is famous for its unique karst caves (about 100 in total, of which over 60 are explored), mountains, rivers, deep valleys as well as minority customs and cultures.
Kawagebo, as it is known by local residents and pilgrims, is the highest mountain in Yunnan (6740m). It is located in Deqin County in Diqing Prefecture on the border with Tibet, and near the border with Myanmar. It rises about 20 kilometres west of Deqin town, some 200 km north of Zhongdian / Shangri La.
